The main disadvantages of the reverberatory furnace production are large fuel consumption, low thermal efficiency (generally only 15%~30), the smelting reverberatory furnace also has low sulfur dioxide concentration in the flue gas, large footprint, consumption of a large number of refractories and other shortcomings.
